Birth Services for Local Families
Birth Location
Partera Midwifery Birth Center or your home within a 15 minute radius of the birth center.
Birth Team
Three-person team (midwife, midwife’s assistant, and doula)
Complete Prenatal Care
Thirteen (13) one-hour prenatal visits at the Partera Midwifery Birth Center. During this time I screen for pregnancy complications while educating you (and your family) about birth and body literacy. I focus on natural and Indigenous ways to care for the body during childbearing such as: nutrition, herbs and preparing for the cuarentena. Our appointments also include childbirth, breastfeeding/bodyfeeding, and newborn care education classes.
Postpartum Care
Four (4) two-hour postpartum visits at your home, through the cuarentena. I schedule appointments for day 1, day 3, 1 week, and 2 weeks postpartum (I am available if an issue comes up outside of appointment times.) During this time I ensure that breast-feeding is going well and baby is gaining weight appropriately, and that the birth parent is recovering from the birth well.
Bodywork
Two (2) 90-minute massages at Partera Midwifery Birth Center and a 2-hour closing Cerrada ceremony at the 6 week visit.

Birth Certificate processed and delivered to you.

We offer STI screenings, Paps & IUD removal in a non medicalized setting with an experienced provider who cares about your emotional safety and physical comfort!
Value
We accept Medical and all other major insurances. As well as sliding scale cash payments!
